Great names like Mastiff, Shift, Addict, Greed, Bold, Steer, Make Future, Camel Hump...etc. 5 different snowboards. An ExoticSkis visitor reported seeing and renting these skis in Japan and was impressed with the quality and performance. Anyone know more about this brand?

"Corporate Ski Companies Can Go Lick-It."

New company in 2009 started by James Gordon "V.J." Berry...a fast Utah racer/skicrosser sidelined with a very serious injury in 2001. Producing an all mountain twintip in 177, 187 and 189 cm (radii of 20m, 20.5 and 21 respectively) with Poplar/Maple wood cores with maple stringers (unusual in most skis). The 197cm skis has dimensions of 155-114-145. They claim to have invented the first Hybrid Camber / Hybrid Sidecut ski design refining the tip design to allow the ski to ski shorter on hardpack, "ripping turns like a GS ski" and then "floating right to the top in pow slush and crud." You get your choice of topsheet and base graphics from their stock, with new art added each month, or you can pay them for custom graphic designs.

  "Get Infected." Interesting designs with high quality carbon fiber, titanal, Zylon... optional Teflon bases (no wax), carving ski with a machined-titanal frame w/wood inserts (cool). Deadly serious snowboard lineup, including extreme snowboards. Snowboard-like geometry in the Bullet hybrid ski models. These guys are definitely not afraid of technological innovation. Very interesting. They also have an interesting combo ski-snowboard boot you should look at.

Hard to find anyone actually carrying the VIST skis. Hart skis are rumored to use exclusive VIST designs...
